About Lunde Creative
Hi. I’m Erik Lunde, Executive Creative Director.

The Long Game
I've been building brands and telling stories for over 15 years. But the truth is, I didn't start out as a "marketing guy."
I started in film production.
I worked on an Oscar-winning documentary—Mighty Times: The Children's March—where I was hired as a Line Producer but ended up directing second unit on a chaotic, 600-person shoot with 12 cameras rolling simultaneously. You learn to think fast, lead under pressure, and make creative decisions in real time when there's no room for error.
That's where I learned the fundamentals: how to tell a story that moves people, how to manage complex productions, and how to get the best out of a team when the stakes are high.
Then I pivoted.
I took that storytelling instinct and applied it to marketing. I became a Creative Director and Copywriter, working with CEOs, management teams, and agencies to build brands that don't just look good—they connect. They influence. They convert.
The Proof
In 2009, I became Marketing Director at The Home Ranch, a historic Colorado destination property with an aging brand and stagnant revenue. I led a complete marketing overhaul—new positioning, new creative, new digital strategy—and raised revenue 41% in two years.
Then I founded Lunde Creative in 2011, a boutique agency specializing in brand elevation for iconic destinations and experiential brands. Since then, I've worked with clients like The Nature Conservancy, Triple Creek Ranch, Experience Plus, Home Ranch, and SAFECID—creating websites, campaigns, photography, video, and strategies that don't just meet expectations, they exceed them.
One client, Triple Creek Ranch, came to me with a gorgeous Montana luxury property and a website that didn't match the price point. We rebuilt it from the ground up—elegant design, stunning photography, intuitive UX. Their Marketing Director said it best:
"Erik's unbridled energy and enthusiasm paired with a firm grasp of our 'product' made the process exciting and educational. I continue to receive frequent compliments on our website."
That's the goal: work that clients are proud of, that guests notice, and that moves the needle.
What I Actually Do
I wear a lot of hats. Creative Director. Copywriter. Strategist. Photographer. Video Director. Project Manager. SEO nerd. Brand therapist.
I've led creative teams, managed agency relationships, written broadcast scripts, directed commercials, built Google Ads campaigns, and designed websites. I've worked in web, print, broadcast, social, PR—pretty much every channel that matters.
But here's what I really do:
I help brands close the gap between the experience they deliver and how they're perceived.
Most destination brands, experiential companies, and luxury properties are phenomenal at what they do—but their marketing doesn't reflect it. The website feels dated. The messaging is vague. The photography is forgettable. The strategy is reactive, not proactive.
That's where I come in.
I don't just make things look good. I build brand ecosystems—cohesive, strategic, story-driven systems that work across every touchpoint. I think like a marketer, write like a storyteller, and execute like a producer.
Why I Do This
Because I love working with brands that have soul. Places and experiences that matter. Teams that care about craft.
I'm not interested in chasing trends or churning out content for content's sake. I'm interested in building brands that last—that feel timeless, that resonate emotionally, and that earn loyalty.
If that sounds like the kind of partner you're looking for, let's talk.
